The Pointe-Claire Canoe Club is more than just about canoeing and kayaking… it's a real community.
Volunteering is an integral part of the Pointe-Claire Canoe Club. Since its inception, the presence and commitment of volunteers have been crucial to the success of the Club. Volunteers play a vital role at the Pointe-Claire Canoe Club by supporting the development of its activities and services and allowing it to function to its full potential. For this 28th year, the only thing missing is you, your support, your skills, your smile and your assistance to support the smooth running of club activities!

Read the table below and you will see that the involvement of volunteers is essential and several activities might not even take place without it.

At the Pointe-Claire Canoe Club, a significant effort is made to ensure that the volunteer experience is rewarding. Depending on your interests, skills and availability, you can actively contribute in many different areas. Whether you have a few hours or a lot of time to offer us voluntarily, we need you!

Volunteering at the Pointe-Claire Canoe Club gives one the opportunity to:

  • Develop a sense of belonging
  • Participate in the community life of your Club
  • Have fun and meet people
  • Do your part and contribute to the development of your Club
  • Make a difference for the Club, coaches and athletes
  • Gain experience and knowledge in the field of sport
  • Become familiar with the culture of canoeing and kayaking
  • Share your talents and interests
  • Take up new challenges

How to Volunteer

Becoming a volunteer at the Pointe-Claire Canoe Club is easy! Just click on the iVolunteer link.

The list of volunteer activities is as varied and interesting as the people in it! Some volunteers join a committee to participate in the organization of a regatta or a social event. Others offer their time during the lunch hour in the canteen. Yet others opt for a virtual approach on their home computer. Check out the various volunteer opportunities listed below and you will be surprised at the many ways in which volunteers are involved. Volunteerism is at the very heart of the Pointe-Claire Canoe Club.
